I can trace the beginnings of my strong dislike for the Blair Government back to the date that Ruth Kelly was appointed Secretary of State for Education and Skills. I@ve never liked her, and was gobsmacked when this devout Catholic was then put in charge of Equality!!
Thank God she has made the decision to step down. Perhaps now Gordon Brown might ensure a few less fundies in his Cabinet at the next reshuffle.
