The Lib Dems need to look out, the Green Party has finally decided they need a leader and have selected the most competent candidate, Dr. Caroline Lucas, to lead them into the next General Election.
She has spoken of the need for the Green Party to show that they are more than just environmentalists and are the choice for progressive thinking people.
I've seen Lucas speak at public events and she is certainly an inspiring and interesting speaker. In fact so much so that at the last European election I voted for the Green Party (for whom she was top of the list of candidates) instead of the Lib Dems.
Although as a Unionist and a libertarian there is no way I'd vote for the Greens in a Westminster election it'll be interesting to see how well they perform this time around.
